Our executive director, Maria Sjödin, was quoted in Australia's ABC News talking about how the Iraqi LGBTQ community lives with the fear that they could be found out or killed.
"One of the most dangerous things is that this does not only affect the people where the law is being implemented," she said. "But this kind of law also sends a signal to society that this is a group of people you can persecute."
